Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller performed the role of lead in the Stephen Schwartz's 1972 Broadway musical "Pippin". Produced by Tony Award-winning Director Diane Paulus, and also starring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th annual Tony Awards. Patina played the character Ben Vereen into an award-winning actor. She was also adept at executing the movements of Fosse, which are essential to the musical. Patina was nominated to receive an Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. Additionally, she won a Drama League Award as Best Actress in leading Role and an Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Actress for a musical. Her previous role was Leading Performer for the American Repertory Theater in "Pippin" in December 2012 until January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
